Apple Cinnamon Oat Cookies
To celebrate our newest biodynamic apple sauce flavor, Apple & Cinnamon, we decided to create a fun new recipe with it! We combined our sauce with a few of our other favorite ingredients, oats, raisins, Ceylon cinnamon and walnuts, and whipped up a delicious, wholesome cookie.
This recipe makes 12 cookies.
1 3/4 cups Organic quick cooking Oats
1 1/2 cups Organic unbleached All Purpose Flour
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Ceylon Cinnamon
1/2 tsp. Fresh grated Nutmeg
3/4 cup Organic Raisins
1 cup Organic Walnut pieces
1 cup Organic Light Brown Sugar
1 Pasture raised Organic Egg
1/2 cup Pasture raised organic butter (soft)
Optional: Add chocolate chips in addition to or in place of raisins.
- Preheat your oven to 375 * F and grease cookie sheet. In a medium bowl mix together oats, flour, spices, salt, baking soda and baking powder.
- In a large bowl cream butter and sugar together until smooth. Beat in the egg and applesauce. Stir in dry ingredients until well combined, then fold in walnuts and raisins.
- Drop spoonfuls onto prepared baking sheet and bake for 8-10 mins.
- Allow cookies to cool slightly before moving to wire rack to cool completely.
